Quick Wins: The new look

The owners of Marktkauf Burg wanted to update their store and to surprise customers with a new look. The challenge was to achieve a new market ambience within a manageable investment and a 5 week time frame.
The solution
Maximum impact with minimum investment: The store transformation was achieved with 3 parallel workstreams: A complete graphic refresh, minor layout optimisations and replacement of the store lighting system.


The concept 

  • Based on the existing colour scheme and the location structure, an effective graphics package was redesigned and part of the store layout was renewed.
  • The existing colour scheme on the walls was supplemented or completely renewed. Graphic elements as well as a sub-navigation now make it easier for consumers to find their way around the store.
  • The layout of the non-food area, the fruit and vegetable department as well as the fresh produce departments was changed – this created more space to expand the organic assortment.
  • The new lighting concept puts the products in the spotlight, emphasising freshness, increasing attractivity & customers’ desire.
